The first part of donations is distributed by the Afghan NGO (MOVE) to the beneficiaries. According to the report from MOVE office, 165 blankets have been distributed to the vulnerable families in two Districts of Herrat province (Gulran and Kushke Khuna). The beneficiaries were detected by a preliminary quick assessment conducted by MOVE staff and the local authorities. More detail report with the pictures and video clips are going to be published in near future. Notably the Fulbright Students’ initiative created a momentum inside and out of Afghanistan and generous individuals and humanitarian organizations contributed either to the same initiative or created similar programs in other parts of the country to help people, which is a considerable impact of this program.

Since the beginning of this fund raising program, many people responded positively and committed their financial and technical support that we appreciate it. Almost all of the Afghani Students in the United States responded positive by donation and organizing fund raising activities.
In the United States we received commitment of $ 2335 that from this amount $ 2025 is received and we hope to receive the remaining $ 310 in the coming week.
The personnel of CAF in Kabul, Afghanistan collected an amount of $ 210 and the personnel of CAF and Merlin in Kunduz province, Afghanistan contributed $100 to this program, which is appreciated.
The partner organizations (STEP, AADA, MOVE, SHDP) are committed to support the program trough providing transportation facilities as well as distribution of the donated materials to the benefeciaries in Herrat, Faryab, Jawzjan, Badakhshan, provinces as well as to those families from Helmand province who are displaced to Kabul. The updated report of the first distribution, which is taking place in Afghanistan, will be published soon.
